Zickler Associates recently represented Mann Properties in the acquisition of 204 acres in Franklin, Indiana, which will be developed as Brookhaven, a mixed use housing development.

The approved layout for Brookhaven contemplates a maximum of 780 single-family homes and 120 condominium style attached homes.

Many of the single-family homes will be designed in clusters or neighborhoods with detached alley-loaded garages and front porches reminiscent of the older established neighborhoods of downtown Franklin.

The recent zoning change from industrial to residential was requested by the seller, Wilson Farm, LP, in response to a highest and best use study performed in March 2002 by Zickler Associates' sister company, Horizon Group, Inc.

Development of home sites in Brookhaven is expected to begin by Summer 2003, with home construction likely to be underway by Fall.
