Plainfield -- Goodwill Industries of Central Indiana plans another store in Hendricks County.

The store -- the third in the county and 26th in the Indianapolis metropolitan area -- could open late this summer in the commercial area of Heartland Crossing, southeast of Plainfield and about two miles north of Mooresville.

The Heartland store will have a donation center and drive-through, where Goodwill receives donations of clothing, appliances, toys and other merchandise for resale, according to Cindy Graham, vice president of marketing for the Indianapolis-based Goodwill.

"We've been looking at a location in Heartland Crossing for several years, and we think it will be a very good area for both donations and from the sales standpoint," she said.

The Heartland location, currently under site and design reviews by the Hendricks County Planning and Building Department, is at the corner of Prosperity and Union Mills drives. That is near the corner of Ind. 67 and the main southern entrance off the state highway into Heartland.
